Laws and Punishments

Every citizen has rights and freedom of speech, however there are still laws and punishments in place to manage the community, and punish those who break these rules.

  1. All citizens from the ages of 3-25 must attend their schooling, in order to involve themselves in the community (Serious punishment)
  2. All citizens (depending on age) must attend their set curfew (Mild punishment)
  3. Theft, burglary, murder or any bodily harm to oneself or one another (without governments permission) will not be tolerated (Serious punishment)
  4. Any medical condition or illness must be reported to the authorities (Mild punishment)
  5. Any type of unkind gestures towards one another (teasing, bullying etc.) will not be tolerated (Mild punishment)
  6. Drugs, smoking, involvement in gangs, harassment (of any kind) is not tolerated (Serious punishment)
  7. Disrespect, riots, protests towards the authority or community is not tolerated (Serious punishment)
  8. The destruction of the community infrastructure is prohibited (Mild punishment)
  9. No business or operation may be opened or started within the work blocks without authority permission (Serious punishment)
  10. No two people may marry or have children without legal documents being signed and handed to the authorities first (Mild punishment)
Breaking these rules may result in either a serious punishment or a mild punishment. Young citizens  under the age of 20 are not applicable for punishments, although their parents are, and will receive the punishment instead. Before paying for the offence a citizen may go to court if they have any problems about the law that was supposedly broken.
Both the mild punishments and the serious punishments have three stages, so a person may commit three offences before either being banished or sent to jail.

Serious punishment 1: Offenders are sent to jail 4 moths after committing a serious punishment
Serious punishment 2: Offenders are sent to jail for 8 months after commiting a serious punishment twice
Serious punishment 3: Offenders are banished from Demacia after committing a serious punishment three times

Mild punishment 1: Offenders are required to pay 100 Demacians after committing a mild punishment
Mild punishment 2: Offenders are required to pay 200 Demacians after committing a mild punishment twice
Mild punishment 3: Offenders are sent to jail for 2 months after committing a mild punishment three times
